Vocross provides digital word games and related features (including, without limitation, multilingual crosswords, leaderboards, themes, and optional advertisements in mobile apps). We may add, change, or discontinue games or features at any time. The Service is for personal, non-commercial entertainment and language practice unless we agree otherwise in writing.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms with you. You may not use the Service where prohibited by law.

4. Accounts and usernames

Some features use a public username and a device identifier instead of a password. You are responsible for activity under your username on devices you control. Usernames must not impersonate others, contain slurs or illegal content, or violate third-party rights. We may suspend or remove usernames that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are abusive or fraudulent.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Cheat, automate play, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service except where law permits.
• Overload or disrupt our servers, API, or other users’ experience.
• Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data.
• Use the Service to violate applicable law or third-party rights.

We may enforce limits (rate limits, device binding, puzzle session signing) to protect fairness and security.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, visuals, puzzle content, logos, and trademarks, is owned by AYOSEM or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal use in accordance with these Terms. You do not acquire ownership of any content by playing or saving progress.

Dictionary and lexicon data may include third-party sources subject to their licenses; attribution where required is provided in the app or documentation.

7. Advertising

Mobile versions may display third-party ads (for example, Google AdMob). Ad partners’ terms and privacy practices apply to their processing. See our Privacy Policy for summary information.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AYOSEM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE OPERATION, OR THAT PUZZLES OR TRANSLATIONS ARE COMPLETE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY SPECIFIC PURPOSE (INCLUDING FORMAL LANGUAGE CERTIFICATION).

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AYOSEM AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) USD $50 OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (TYPICALLY ZERO FOR FREE SERVICES).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify AYOSEM against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of others’ rights, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) will survive termination.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated in the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware for disputes not subject to mandatory arbitration, except where consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise.
